The foremost right all our clients have is the right to a fair jury trial. I have tried many trials successfully. I initially approach every trial in a "scorched earth" manner. This means that I attempt to discredit every witness against my client using any available admissible impeachment evidence. In most every criminal trial the credibility of the witnesses and complainant are the most persuasive evidence a jury will hear. By impeaching them or casting doubt upon their veracity, we can effectively destroy their credibility. Many times we are able to discover a criminal background, inconsistencies in their statements, or other types of impeachment evidence.
